Reher-Morrison Super Series Custom Pistons, Piston Rings & Connecting Rods

Don’t confuse Reher-Morrison Super Series pistons with universal, "one-size-fits-all" pistons. Our domes are specifically machined to fit the combustion chambers in Brodix and Dart cylinder heads. The valve pockets are precisely cut to provide just the right amount of clearance for our Super Series camshafts without sacrificing compression.

You’ll find Pro Stock power secrets in our Super Series pistons. For example, selected Super Series pistons use gas ports and back-cut rings. Selected pistons use .043" top and second rings that reduce friction and maintain a tight seal when the piston changes direction. Our ring grooves have the correct side and back clearances to produce the lightest possible cylinder seal for long-lasting power.

Reher-Morrison pistons are lighter than mass-produced pistons. (Our 555 Super Series piston weighs just 565 grams!) Friction is the #1 reason power is lost in an engine. Reher-Morrison offers custom designed piston ring sets to decrease the power robbing effects of friction. Super Series piston ring sets are .043", .043", 3/16",.043" top and custom .043" cast second rings reduce friction yet maintain a tight seal when the pistons change direction. Reher-Morrison spec oil ring rails and expanders provide the perfect combination of tension and oil control. Eagle Connecting Rods

Quality and durability that everyone can afford. All Eagle "ESP" rods use a forging process that forces the grain into the shape of a connecting rod, resulting in superior fatigue life. 4340 "ESP" 3D rods also include a higher content of nickel & chrome, which increases the strength & fatigue life without making the rod brittle.

Super Series steel connecting rods are custom machined to Reher-Morrison specifications. These Manley rods are made from high-strength 4340 steel. The proven H-beam design ensures long life. We use only premium quality ARP 8740 rod bolts, including special ARP 2000 rod bolts in all our stroker applications.

These new steel I-Beam connecting rods are manufactured by Manley Performance Products to RMRE specifications. Based on Manley’s popular and successful Pro Series "I" Beam rods, we have gained more cam and block clearance by shortening the center to center location of the rod bolts. Reducing the distance between the bolts, improves the clamping force of the bolts and allows for even greater weight removal (Avg wgt. 772 grams!).

This longer rod is ideal for big bore Big Block Chevrolets, as it produces a superior rod to stroke ratio, reduces piston to cylinder wall side load and allows for a much lighter piston due to a shorter compression distance. This rod is currently available in 6.750" c-c length only. This is one of the nicest steel connecting rods we have seen in years. Call our Parts Department for more information.
