Camshafts and Valve Train Components

Reher-Morrison offers the same custom-ground roller camshafts we install in our Super Series racing engines. Ground to our specs, these are excellent cams for bracket racing. These profiles make big top-end power and a wide torque curve without sacrificing valve train longevity. (They’re easy on valve springs!)

One of the most closely guarded power secrets in Pro Stock is available to sportsman racers in our Big Stick roller cams for Big Block Chevy V8’s equipped with Super12 or Big Chief cylinder heads.

Did you know that most Pro Stock engines use a different firing order than a standard V8? We swap the #7 and #4 cylinders in the firing order to eliminate the fuel distribution and heat problems caused by cylinders #5 and #7 firing in succession. With the Big Stick cam’s revised firing order, the two end cylinders do not have to "fight" for fuel from the manifold plenum. The result is a measurable power increase (typically 8 to 10 horsepower) and a smoother, cooler running engine.

Reher-Morrison Custom & Big Stick 7/4 Swap Camshafts

Big Stick cams are ground on a custom core with the lobes repositioned for the non-standard firing order. If you’re looking for the last bit of horsepower, you should carry a Big Stick!

Roller Lifters

Reher-Morrison sells a variety of solid roller lifters ranging from the spring loaded style to the Cutaway Severe-Duty roller lifters.  All Reher-Morrison Super Series engines use the Crower Cutaway Severe-Duty roller lifters.  These lifters feature a special alloy body and a larger O.D. bearing that has a thicker wall than standard designs in order to withstand high cylinder pressure.  Looking for long lasting, durable lifters?  The Crower Cutaway Severe-Duty roller lifters are the right choice

Valve Springs, Retainers & Keepers

If you’d rather spend your time racing than wrenching, these are the springs to use! We highly recommend them for Bracket and Super Class racers. They are extremely reliable and will maintain their pressure run after run - especially when used with one of our smooth and powerful Super Series or Big Stick camshafts.

Combine these springs with a set of genuine Apollo Trick Titanium retainers and hardened 10º locks and you’ll have a bulletproof valve train!

Manley Stainless Steel & Titanium Valves

Reher-Morrison uses Manley valves in all it’s cylinder heads. One piece stainless steel valves are used in conventional Big Block Chevy cylinder head Super Series engines and cylinder heads sold to our customers. Manley Titanium one piece valves are used in all Reher-Morrison Big Chief cylinder heads to reduce weight and improve reliability.

Buy the best valves from the cylinder head experts!
