At the age of 62, Bobby Leonard, Team L & H Race Cars, Oxford, North Carolina, overcomes adversity and a stellar field of competitors using perseverance and persistence to capture the 2009 Pro Outlaw Doorslammers points championship. Robert Hayes is quick to mention that their success for the 2009 season is the result of commissioning the “total package” - the supreme principals of horsepower, knowledge and skill. This would not be possible without wisdom, guidance and superior quality of Reher-Morrison Racing Engines, Hughes Performance, Speedtech, Sandy Wilkins Motorsports and Hoosier Tire.

Reher-Morrison Racing Engines provided unmatched horsepower and reliability the entire season with the flawless performance of Speedtech delivering the juice. We knew the only way to harness the horsepower created by Reher-Morrison was to rely on the excellence of Hughes Performance. Their transmissions and torque convertors are indestructible.

We are also thankful that Reher-Morrison had the keen insight to empower Sandy Wilkins Motorsports for necessary time-restrictive engine/machine maintenance. His “around-the-clock” availability and attention to detail allowed us to meet deadlines that were unattainable.

I would also like to express my appreciation to Hoosier Tire. These tires will stick on any track in any weather condition. We watched other brands go up in smoke all season long – but not these guys.

All our principals have delivered service the entire year that is beyond commendable. Our total package concept with Bobby Leonard as the pilot is testimony that L & H Race Cars is a world-class operation driven by faith.
